About Coach Steve

Coach Steve was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, where he lived until he was 20 years old. During his younger days, he was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America, through which he achieved his Eagle Scout, the BSA highest achievement. He volunteered at the Ft. Wayne Children's Zoo for three years during his summers. At age 16, he became the youngest volunteer fire firefighter with the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department.

After graduating Northrop High School and unsure of what he really wanted to do with his life, Coach Steve joined the United State Navy as an aircraft mechanic. After boot camp, he was stationed in Lemoore, California, where he was assigned to VA-146 (Blue Diamonds) working on the A-7E Course Air, a Vietnam-era light attack bomber. After fours years and having completed a Westpac on the USS Nimitz CNV-68 and a world cruise on the USS Enterprise CVN-65, he changed duty stations and was transferred to Naval Station Guam, where he served as police officer. As with many boyhood dreams, Coach Steve felt he had found his calling as a police officer. Coach Steve served two years in Guam as a police office for the US Navy and was then transferred to Naval Air Stations Whidbey Island in Washington State, where he continued his career as a police office until 1995, when he felt that he wanted to do law enforcement full time. Coach Steve left the Navy and moved to Olympia, WA, in 1995 and started a career with the Thurston County Sheriff's Office as a deputy. After eight years of being a deputy, Coach Steve injured his back and had to retire from the Sheriff's Office.

In 2004 Coach Steve, after looking at several business ventures, came across the concept of the Tumble Bus while visiting his wife's family in Texas. His sister-in-law's best friend owned a Tumble Bus and was doing quite well at it. After looking into the Tumble Bus business and having looked at many other businesses, Coach Steve found a Tumble Bus for sale and started Kidz -N- Motion Tumblin' Bus LLC. In June 2005 Steve Brigham started serving Thurston County's daycare centers and preschool facilities with 30-minute basic gymnastic classes for kidz ages 2-6 years old. Since the start of Kidz -N- Motion Tumblin' Bus, business has been great. After almost three years of being in business, we are looking forward to the future. In 2008 we are looking forward to the addition of one or more new Tumblin' Buses and expanding our service to 4 days a week in Pierce County instead of just Thurston.
